Cafe No2 is a small, friendly cafe situated in the heart of Taverham on the Fakenham Road, located on the side of The Silver Fox pub. It has been heavily invested in and fully refurbished to a create a comfortable, relaxed and informal dining area for customers of all ages to enjoy.
Together with a small team, they aim to provide hearty breakfasts and lunch offerings, cakes and snacks, accompanied with hot beverages including quality coffee, lovingly made by our barista’s, and also cold drinks including ice cream milkshakes and frozen smoothies.
New owners, husband and wife team, Phillippa and James, are very familiar with the local area, having lived in Taverham most of their lives. They also currently own and run The Willows Cafe Bistro (hence the choice of name “Cafe No2”) located in neighbouring village Drayton, which has proved very popular in the local area. They are excited to bring a new dining experience to their village of Taverham and hope they will have the support of local residents to remain sustainable in a challenging market.
The aim will be for the chef to prepare and homecook / bake as many dishes as possible on site, using local produce, supporting local suppliers which is important to Phillippa and James as a small independent business themselves. They will be choosing environmentally friendly options on packaging wherever possible to do their bit for the environment and keep waste to a minimum.
There is ample car parking at both the front and rear of the building, disabled access and an outdoor area to enjoy on those sunny days, and a fenced in garden with a play area for children’s entertainment.
