About the meeting
Our meet is very informal! You can come and go whenever within the 1.5hrs. There’s no programme or schedule or anything like that, we simply sit and chat whilst the little ones play with the Lego or train set or any other of the lovely toys the Library provides (or pull the books off of the shelves!). We can talk about breastfeeding or non-breastfeeding stuff, whatever really! Biscuits are provided, and you can bring your own cold drinks and snacks if you wish, but no hot drinks are allowed unfortunately!
About your host
I’m Milli! I’ll be wearing a black “liquid gold” T-shirt and pink glasses. My three-year-old will be at Nursery so it will be me and my tiny, newest addition! I’m a trained peer supporter, so if you do have any breastfeeding queries I will do my best to help, or signpost you to other services if appropriate
I’m very happy to meet anyone on their own before the meet starts at 9:30 – just send me a message!
How to find us
We’ll be in the lovely children’s area at at the back of Downham Library – there’s seating, toilet/baby change, toys for the little ones…and plenty of books, of course! Please note that the Library isn’t open to the public until 10am – before then, the door will only unlock via “Open Library access” on a registered library card. If you arrive before 10am and don’t have library access, please knock on the window to attract our attention!
Parking
Tesco car park (3hrs free) is right next door to the Library, or there’s the Iceland car park or market place car park across the road.
Your host

Milli HeskethBoard member, Host, West
Name and Role – Milli, Co-Chair and host
Location and role – West Norfolk
Length of time breastfeeding – 3.25 years
Favourite thing about breastfeeding – Convenience (it’s ready anytime anywhere, at the perfect temperature and consistency, with no special equipment needed👌🏻). That, and that fact that it’s just magic!!
Bio – I’m Milli, I’m currently breastfeeding my second baby after feeding my son for over three years. I am a doctor, and also teach Anatomy to medical students. When my first was born I was disappointed by the complete lack of breastfeeding support in my area, so I am very glad to have the opportunity to help other women through Breastfeeding Mum Meets. My favourite thing about breastfeeding is how convenient it is – it’s ready any time anywhere, at the perfect temperature and consistency, with no special equipment needed! That, and the fact that it’s just magic, and has so many benefits for mothers and their babies, as well as for wider society and for the environment. My main hobbies are coffee, going to the park, and finding out how little sleep I need to function – often all three together! When I have time, I also enjoy gardening, sewing and playing the piano. I’m based in Downham Market and am head BMM host for the West Norfolk area. I currently host regular BMM meets in Downham and Wereham, as well as supporting online via the BMM Facebook group. I have completed the ABM Mother Supporter course, and also the UNICEF Management of Breastfeeding training.
